Cookie Policy

Last updated: August 3, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on www.musicpulse.app, for what purposes, and how to exercise your choices, in accordance with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the CNIL guidelines.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies (browser local storage). Some are essential to the operation of the site; others, subject to your consent, are used for audience measurement or to display third-party content.

2. Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent)

Authentication: Supabase session cookies that keep you signed in to your account (duration: session to a few days). Preferences: language cookie (locale) and storage of your consent choices (duration: up to 6 months, in line with CNIL recommendations). Security and operation: technical trackers required for fraud protection and load balancing. These trackers cannot be disabled because the site cannot function without them.

3. Audience measurement

With your consent, we use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we self-host (no data is transmitted to any third party). Umami sets no cookie and only collects aggregated statistics (page views, referrer, device type), with no cross-site individual tracking. If you decline the “analytics” category, the script is not loaded.

4. Embedded content (media)

Some pages may embed third-party players (for example Spotify or YouTube) to play excerpts. These platforms may set their own cookies as soon as the player loads. Such content is only loaded with your consent to the “media” category; otherwise a neutral placeholder is displayed.

5. Payment

During checkout, Stripe sets the cookies strictly necessary to secure the transaction and prevent fraud, on its own pages and embedded elements. These trackers fall under the legitimate interest of payment security. Learn more: stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.

6. Your choices

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept everything, refuse everything (except strictly necessary trackers) or customise your choices by category. Refusing is as easy as accepting.

You can change your choices at any time via the “Manage my cookies” link in the footer. Your choices are kept for a maximum of six (6) months, after which your consent will be requested again.

7. Browser settings

You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies (see the help sections of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in to your account.

8. Updates and contact

The list of trackers may evolve with the Service; this page is updated accordingly. For any question: contact form at www.musicpulse.app/contact. For your rights over the related data, see the Privacy Policy.
