How it works

01

Upload your track

MP3 or WAV, up to 150 MB. Mixed or mastered stage.

02

Set parameters

Choose a platform preset or fine-tune every parameter. Optional: load a reference track to auto-fill settings.

03

Download your master

WAV output at your chosen sample rate and bit depth. Compare A/B with the original on the built-in waveform player.

A/B waveform comparison

Compare original and mastered side-by-side. Switch at the exact same timeline position — no more guessing.

B — Après

What AI mastering actually does to your track

Mastering is the final translation step between your mix and the platforms where people hear it. MusicPulse's AI mastering chain applies equalization, multiband compression, stereo enhancement and true-peak limiting, calibrated to your track's genre and current state rather than a one-size-fits-all preset.

The target is streaming-ready loudness: integrated LUFS in the range your genre needs, true peaks under control so lossy encoding does not clip, and a frequency balance that holds up on earbuds, car speakers and club systems alike. One master costs 5 credits and takes a few minutes.

Hear the difference before you commit

A master you cannot compare is a master you cannot judge. Every MusicPulse master comes with a synchronized A/B player: your original and the mastered version aligned on the same waveform, so you can switch instantly at any point in the track and hear exactly what changed.

Your mastering history is saved per track. Try a master, adjust your mix, master again, and compare versions over time. Combined with track analysis before and after, you see the numbers move: loudness reaching target, clipping eliminated, mud cleaned up.

When AI mastering is enough, and when it is not

For singles, demos sent to curators, and releases on an independent budget, AI mastering gets you a competitive, streaming-compliant master in minutes for 5 credits. That covers the vast majority of what most independent artists release.

For a flagship album, a vinyl pressing or a complex stem-level revision, a human mastering engineer still earns their fee. The honest workflow many artists use: master with AI for speed on most releases, and bring the engineer a well-analyzed, well-prepared mix for the projects that justify it.

Prepare your mix so the master can shine

The best mastering chain cannot rescue a broken mix, and that is as true for AI as for humans. The preparation rules are simple: export a WAV at the sample rate you produced in, leave 3 to 6 dB of headroom, and take any limiter or heavy compression off the master bus. Loudness is the master's job, not the mix's.

Run a track analysis before mastering. If it flags clipping, harsh highs or low-mid mud, fix those in the mix first; they become permanent once the master glues everything together. The analyze-fix-master loop on MusicPulse costs 15 credits per full cycle and turns mastering from a gamble into a process.

AI mastering FAQ

How much does AI mastering cost on MusicPulse?+

5 credits per master. New accounts get 30 free credits, so you can master your first tracks for free. Credits come from subscriptions (from $20 per month) or a one-time $15 pack of 50 credits.

What loudness does the master target?+

Genre-appropriate integrated LUFS with true peaks kept under control for lossy encoding. Streaming platforms normalize around -14 LUFS, and the chain masters your track so it sounds competitive both before and after normalization.

Can I compare the master with my original?+

Yes. Every master includes a synchronized A/B waveform player. You can switch between original and master at any point in the track and hear precisely what changed before deciding to use it.

What should I upload for the best result?+

Your final mix as a WAV file with 3 to 6 dB of headroom, no limiter on the master bus. Run a track analysis first: it flags clipping or mud issues that are better fixed in the mix before mastering.

Is AI mastering as good as a mastering engineer?+

For most independent releases, it is more than competitive and infinitely faster. For flagship projects, vinyl or stem mastering, a good engineer still adds value. Many artists use both depending on the release.

How long does AI mastering take?+

A few minutes per track. Upload your mix, the chain analyzes it, applies genre-calibrated processing and delivers the master with an A/B player. Most artists master, compare and download within a single session.
